Our Story
Looking to adopt your next dog aka forever friend? Well, you’ve come to the right place because I’ll fetch that perfect companion for you. I’m Michelle, the founder of Little Man’s Love Bugs. We match rescue AND shelter dogs with their new forever homes.
Little Man’s Love Bugs is named after my late senior dog, Little Man. I rescued him on August 18, 2016, at 11 years old, initially as a foster through a reputable NYC program (New Hope). The moment he put his first paw down on my apartment floor I knew he was going to be a foster fail…and he sure was! A foster failure is someone who falls in love with a dog they are caring for and ends up adopting it.
He fueled my passion for helping senior dogs and my active involvement in rescue advocacy. Unfortunately, I lost Little Man unexpectedly, almost three months shy of his 16th birthday. Although he’s missed dearly, he lives on today through the creation of Little Man’s Love Bugs which helps dogs of all ages, breeds, needs, disabilities and more in finding their perfect match for a forever home.

Michelle gave Little Man the best retirement home a dog could have ever dreamt of. The void he’s left in her life has encouraged her to start this company and help other people find the dog loves of their lives. Michelle’s love of dogs is so evident. She works tirelessly to advocate for displaced dogs. She is an amazing friend and the best dog mom ever.
